Situated at the Southern tip of Africa and remote from the technical and industrial hubs of the world, it has always been necessary for CBI to manufacture most of the components, sub-assemblies and requisite tooling locally. the resulting depth of mannfacture has afforded CBIfull control over the quality of its products.

In Hy-MAG Tools, a division of CBI, tool designers and approcimately 40 toolmakers, occupying an area of 1000Sq m,design and manufacture specialised tooling for press parts and mouldings, as well as purpose-built automation equipment.

It is a tradition at CBI to maintain modern production facilities through constant investment. Operatirs are trained to manage the plant at optimum efficiency.

Whilst CBI's product technology has historically been American in origin, manufacturing technology is predominantly European based.
